虚像 Unreal Image

風呂に入って自分の足を見ると、実際よりも極端に短く見えます。

これは光の屈折のために水の中にある物体が実物とは違って見えるためです。

日々の生活の中でも、自分が正しいと思っていても、虚像を見ていて、実物が見えない時があります。

そして、自分が間違っていたことが、後になって分かることがあります。

聖書は「人には良いと見えても、終わりは死へ導く道もある。」— 箴言 16:25

と語っています。

When I get in the bath and look at my feet they seem to be much, much smaller than they really are. This is because the refraction of light in the water causes things to look different.

Even in everyday life, things may not really be as they appear to be. Sometimes, it is only later that one realizes the incorrect perception they had. According to Proverbs, 6:25 "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death."

また人を判断する時も、その人の虚像を見て判断し、実像とは反対の人を見ることがあります。

誤解して、良い人を悪く見たり、悪い人を良く見たりします。

それで、自分の認識、見解は、本当に正しいか、よく注意して、吟味することが大切です。

When we look at other people too there are times when we see an unreal image of them and jump to incorrect conclusions about them. We sometimes make a mistake and think poorly of someone who is actually good or conversely, think highly of someone who is not good.

It is important to carefully work out whether our perceptions are correct or not.
