堂々とした人 Walking Tall

私がお見掛けした男性のことです。

背筋を伸ばして堂々と歩いていらっしゃいましたが…

ミュージカルの『オペラ座の怪人』ではありませんが、お顔下半分がちょっと事故？もしくは生まれつき？アレッ？？

と、もう1回見直すぐらい何か大変なお怪我の傷がありました。

私のようにマスク、サングラス等で色々隠すことなく堂々と！

その態度を見て私は思い出しました。

聖書の一句 「いつも喜んでいなさい。絶えず祈りなさい。全てに感謝しなさい」I テサロニケ 16-18

まさにそれを信じて、体現してらっしゃるようなお姿に見えたのです。

恥じることなく… 人の外見で判断するのではなく、その方の行動で…。

私もキリスト教の信者として、ちょっとでも神様のお心にそうような行動をしたいと思いました。

I`m writing about a man I saw the other day. He walked with his back straight and his head held high but he looked like he might be the actor in the Phantom of the Opera. The lower half of his face – had he been in an accident? was he born like that? I looked again at the scars of what must have been a terrible accident. Unlike me, covering up with sunglasses and a mask, here he was walking proudly with no cover. When I recognized his attitude I remembered something: “Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances.” — 1 Thessalonians

This man certainly appeared to believe and live out those words. I decided that I would like to try to live my life as a disciple of Jesus in the same way as that man, without embarrassment and without worrying about the way others judge me.
